You are right on all accounts, Blanche. There are a few things we are
doing as a nation that really bothers me as an American. This damned war is one of them. And I will continue to write about it as long as it continues and hopefully I'll convince a few of its futility.

Saul, well, if nothing else, I'm sure your conscience won't let you do
anything else. In every war in history, there have been witnesses and writers to record them. Some things shouldn't pass unnoticed, imho.

A sad perseverance and dogged dilligence to the task of doing whatever
I can to get us the hell out of that infernal conflagration, Blanche. I am a mere annoying whine much like the mosquito, if they can hear me at all...

So, we've hit the dubious milestone of 2,500 casualties, SaulRelative?
Another photo opp, you know how politicians love them. I've surpassed shocked and appalled 3 years ago, gone past outraged, disgusted, and now feel merely cynical. I admire your pluck in continuing to report these sad facts.

Bad and getting worse, rumjumbie. What I wouldn't give to hit the
Caribbean and sail away (well, somewhere sandy and tropical and not too magnetic toward hurricanes). Sail on, friend.

I feel deeply for you. It is a terrible thing that the American people are
going through right now.
