Love your writing, poetry, musing.
One of your commentors reminds me of the reasons I nearly left here a few times.
Then I realized, as Shakespeare said so well;
"A fools bolt is soon shot."

Thank you.
Alas, the nietos are a bit more grown up now, and they live in Blairland, and we in Spain, so we don't see them that often.

I will ignore the nonsense here by another and simply say. Love that grandbaby to pieces then spoil him, give him lots of messy chocolate and then send him home with his parents to clean him up!

You appear increasingly to have sunk into a fantasy world of your own devising, your grasp upon reality becoming more tenuous with each day that passes.
You comments become ever more discourteous and insulting, and are, moreover increasingly incomprehensible, not only to me, but to all who read them.
I do not intend to swap lengthy comments with you, Glennb, but expose your racist beliefs for all to see in another post. Not that there is the slightest hope of anything outside of your own half-mad belief sytem impinging upon your awareness. Far less having the slightest modifying effect upon them.
Have a nice day.

Ariel70,
I do not know of one "Nigger" gun manufacturer who gives away free bullets! And you know my point! So do not give me the naive "White Boy" routine!

Ariel, I liked the last half of your poem
in which the man looked into the eyes of the one made into his enemy and refused to kill. It's a moral position we hope to attain -- to avoid hate for hate's sake, to see through the propaganda and know the real world, the real hope for peace that we all hoped for when the world was young. Reminds me of that '70s song "Where have all the flowers gone?" for some reason.

Glenn...Is that the epitome of the pot calling the kettle black?
Quit bothering the man and go whine someplace else.

I treat you snide comment on my character with the contempt that it deserves ; as being unworhty of comment,
Your racist cynicism, arrogance and closed-mindedness know no bounds, and this remark of yours in you comment sums up completely your attitude....
" ... Lose the references to the destruction and devastation on the Continient of Africa! ..."
It is clear from this dismissive sentence that you don't give a hang what non-white people do to each other. I matters nothing to you -- indeed, one wonders if you are even capable of being made aware -- that unknown millions of non-white people have been tortured and murdered by their own people. And are as I write.
Despite the utter contempt that one is forced to feel for you and your perverted views, one can only feel pity for a mind so deeply disturbed, and a spirit so profoundly wounded that they are incapable of seeing any good in their selected enemies.
I intend to deal with your comments at greater length in another post, and courtesy demands that I notify you in advance. I await your further comments with ...

Ariel70,
It is very commercial to appear sane and compassionate in America! It gets you in all the right circles! But look at the reality! When you kill the parents of Iraqi children you are still the barbarian! Lose the references to the destruction and devastation on the Continient of Africa! The question is: How can people who have zero means of production have so much access to the tools of destruction?

You bin readin' my file?
Some years ago, my niece's daughter of about seven, I think, came and sat on my lap at the computer, and out of the blue, she said " Grandpa, do you know the f word?"
And on it went " Nobody will tell me what this f word is." " I wish I knew what this f words was."
Wotcha gonna do, eh? Talk about " Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings"!
I bet she knows what the f word is now, alright!

Very well done...
I especially loved the first half...you can clearly see the cheeky boy with his wide eyed innocence, questioning grandpa.
We all sometimes wish we'd killed our kids when they were younger. They make sure to punish you for all your past mistakes.
