Point on, WhiteJedi. I believe the coming of the police state, if not in
quite the same as many have foreseen it, is inevitable.  What I mean by that is, with the growth in the pharmacological fields of study and advances in psycho-social studies, we may enter into that state without really knowing we're there (not unlike the Matrix).  Or caring, which is worse.

That is a very insightful quote..
It makes me think of the matrix for some reason.  Police come in the form of privacy invasion today.  The government's police spy through the telephone, internet, bank accounts and even the books we check out from the library.  You can fight what can't be seen.  Wiretapping is insidious because it works in the background without any leash controlling it's power.  Yes, we do live in a technological police state.  Which is why society may not be able to escape a military style police state.

Maybe, but the less inhibited we are, the more honest we usually become.

Of course, he was probably totally wasted when he said that.

And so I wake in the morning
And I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream at the top of my lungs
"What's going on?"
