Yes, great drama there, among other things.

Is that, like, in the Bible or something, Franciscan?

Ugly children? See 1 Samuel 16 v. 7

Um, curator, were you invited?

posted by Mademoiselle on July 6, 2006 at 5:29 AM | link to this | reply

Thank you, BrightIrish ...
though, sadly, it wasn't.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 6, 2006 at 5:28 AM | link to this | reply

Possibly, Passion ...
though I fear I may actually be one of those relatives.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 6, 2006 at 5:27 AM | link to this | reply

Don't be so sure, Dave.

I would prefer "boring", Fiona ... at least, every once in a while ...

to break the monotony.

First I have to make it through Thanksgiving, food4thought.

Actually, Silly, you're better off seeing "Strangers with Candy".

Time for one of those tales, Mad One.

Gotta love it.  Been there.  Sorry, Mademoiselle! It'll pass!

Mademoiselle
I hope today ( the 4th) is a better day for you.

You have a way of making an ordinary weekend

Watching movies with family seem like a horror story. We've all got family members that we'd rather not be related to.

And I think it's a good thing that you don't have the same interests in movies as a 9 year old.

posted by Passionflower on July 4, 2006 at 9:09 AM | link to this | reply

That's a lot of stories to come. Should be good.

posted by _dave_says_ack_ on July 4, 2006 at 8:34 AM | link to this | reply

Well, we live in
interesting times - If everything had been apple pie, it would have been rather boring.

M...
Jeez, I bet you can hardly wait until Christmas!

while my niece and little cousin where here, they dragged me to see waist deep which I certinal had no intrest in and certinal not after, but then again it couldn't be any worse then the loser movies I've been seeing as of late, I'm keeping my fingers crossed when I got see the davil wears parda. ~Silly

You certainly have had a very busy time. Can't wait to read more about the details. Lol.

You have the prize delivered here. Thanks for playing. One never knows for sure when luck smiles upon you. Lol.

I suspect there may be several, Ariala.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 3, 2006 at 2:17 PM | link to this | reply

Mad, lovely indeed...any encores?

posted by Ariala on July 3, 2006 at 2:11 PM | link to this | reply

That is one of the possibilities, Strat ...
though not necessarily those particular titles.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 3, 2006 at 2:02 PM | link to this | reply

That's a fairly accurate comparison, Blanche.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 3, 2006 at 2:01 PM | link to this | reply

Wow, mysteria ... generally, when I hear stuff like that,
the person saying it is being sarcastic.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 3, 2006 at 2:00 PM | link to this | reply

Thank you, Mason ... I hate the ones where they use the scary voice
to get your attention ("Are you living in a hidden deathtrap?  Find out the important precautions every homeowner must take!  It just might save you life!") and then tell you to "Tune in tonight at 11."

posted by Mademoiselle on July 3, 2006 at 1:59 PM | link to this | reply

How about Children's horror stories?
You know, stuff like, "The Brave Littlte Toaster who Hopped into the Bathroom and electrcuted your mother in the tub," or "The Little Engine Who Could Crawl Through Your Window At Night and Suck out Your Brains?"

Just a thought...

posted by strat on July 3, 2006 at 1:54 PM | link to this | reply

Mademoiselle, the 9 year old told you you didn't know "jack" about movies?
That is rich. Who is she MacCaulay Culkin's child?  Dakota Fanning's younger sibling?

posted by Blanche. on July 3, 2006 at 1:49 PM | link to this | reply

It's actually one of my goals, Strat ...
My best friend (Hi, Manon!) and I are having trouble picking a genre though.

Hopefully I'll be able to do the story justice, Marshall.

i am amazed by your mind....do me a favor and NEVER stop sharing your
bounty of goodness with the world...

your post reminds me of those news broadcasts where they keep
telling you what they are going to tell you later after the commercials.... but at least you don't have commercials... and you are incredibly funny!

posted by MasonGarrett on July 3, 2006 at 11:24 AM | link to this | reply

I would say that for someone who doesn't know jack about movies,
you certainly seem to have the makings to write one, just based on the trailers we have read here.

babysitting ugly kids...
the story sounds funny to me...i wanna check that topic lol

No, Samhain, I'll get around to all of them ...

eventually.

(I'm hoping to resume a regular blogging schedule on Wednesday.)

P.S. And yes, I do.  Which is why my family and friends adore me so.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 3, 2006 at 9:54 AM | link to this | reply

Mademoiselle, you enjoy torturing others don't you? I want ALL of the stories and I want them NOW but, "Noooooo", you're going to drag this out and make us plead and beg and wait - aren't you?  Samhain_Moon (moon deleted by request)

Very observant, Aaron. One of my alltime favorite episodes.

Skinner: I'm sorry, did...did you just call me a liar?

Superintendent Chalmers: No, I said you were fired.

Skinner: Oh ... that's much worse.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 3, 2006 at 9:44 AM | link to this | reply

Sounds like a smashing time

as in, you want to start smashing things.  Were you inspired by this quote?

Superintendant Chalmers:  I've just about had it with you, Skinner.  Low test scores, class after class of ugly, ugly children.

Thanks, Bell Keeper ...
I'm certainly not off to a good start though.

Um, I mean "their presence" ...

Man, I suck at possessives!

posted by Mademoiselle on July 3, 2006 at 8:21 AM | link to this | reply

They sure would, Bel ...

I'm still not ruling out there presence entirely, however.

You must be a saint then, Vickie ...
cause I absolutely abhor children.  I particularly dislike their extreme unpredictability ... it makes me very nervous.

posted by Mademoiselle on July 3, 2006 at 8:05 AM | link to this | reply

Wow! I'm so sorry, and yet...
so amused :)  Isn't it funny how other's tragedies can make for the best stories!  Hope things get better soon and I'm looking forward to those stories.  (And having been a preschool teacher and still teaching piano to children, I totally understand the ugly children, the uppity 9-year-olds and the contagion that comes from dealing with kids!)  And yet I love them.  Amazing, isn't it?
