About your pain in the ... uh... scapula...

Could you put a pillow in your seat, elevate yourself a bit so you're sitting in a different position?  Find a big fat phone book to rest your feet on.  Something to improve the ergonomics is what I'm reaching for.  And unless it's something that would cause problems medically for you, that chondroiten glucosamine stuff for joints and arthritis might help.
