Greenfields, that is a good point, that ordinary life goes on pretty much
unrecorded around the world, it's the sensational that gets reported and a false impression created.

I never think of myself as stressed out in Afghanistan. There are good and bad days, just like everywhere else.
Unfortunately, media reports form AF mostly reflect one reality of what is happening here. Just as I choose to see another reality of AF, they report their reality. I cope because I choose to be here, knowing the risks. But, the rewards outweigh the risks, I assure you. Thank you for your comments.

To be teaching in Afghanistan, Greenfields, you must be a brave woman
I've read your last three posts and they're fascinating, the daily life in Kabul, Shamla's wedding, etc. If even a portion of what we hear, in the US, about the Taliban threatening anyone who teaches girls to read and write is true, there is some danger associated with your job. How do you cope with this stress?
