Wow....
So I'm not the only one suffering from this disease...what shall we call it?

I don't think so, food4thought ...

In fact, as you might imagine, it seemed to only create more "issues" for him. "Issues" of a very delicate nature.

aha...
The old do-it-yourself sit-on-a-pickaxe to cure hemorroids routine, that is distracting.  Did it work?

posted by food4thought on July 25, 2006 at 9:40 PM | link to this | reply

No, actually I hadn't noticed that, BlackPearl ...

although, I suppose it would stand to reason ... seeing as God is constantly testing us.

Mademoiselle,
I'm sure that distractions are a sign that you're on to something.  Ever notice that you get really sleepy, or the urge to sneeze, or go to the bathroom, or to eat or drink something, or watch TV, or go check the mail, just when you're on the verge of writing something really good?  Okay, maybe not; but I'm sure there's something to all that.  Sometimes, I think too much.  :)

Oh, I'm sure you have more than just one, Cricket.

Mlle...
Thanks for your encouragement there.  The fact that I have one regular reader is really nice.  Cricket ><>

Sadly, that doesn't work quite as well, Blanche ...

because my mother has come to appreciate BodyWorlds nearly as much as I do.

Or posing cadavers would be another good one

One thing I love to do, Blanche ...
Is wait until we're all sitting down to dinner, and then start discussing, in graphic detail, some sort of horrifyingly grotesque incident ... such as the killer chimp attacks, for example.

I'm a fan of Cinnamon Cashew Caramel ice cream, Mademoiselle, other than
that, though, I'd have to say that cinnamon pop tarts do not sound appealing.  Not when there are so many others to choose from.  We have a rule when watching tv:  No CSI autopsies during dinner.

Though, some have a little more inside them than others, Troosha ...

For instance, my aunt completely refuses to watch such things, or even hear them described later on ... which, naturally, makes it quite easy to torture her.

One HAS to set everything aside when there's a show on about removing a
sharp object from the human body.  We're all have a little voyeur in us.

Thank you so much, pkcricket ...

Though, as with any "unique" style, mine is much better suited to some things than others, plus hardly everyone's "cup of tea".

P.S. You don't give yourself enough credit as I writer.  I've enjoyed all your posts.  Even the really, really pious ones (which are somewhat difficult for me to relate to).

Thank you, Rcky ... I appreciate your saying so.

I hope you're right, though.  As I have some pretty interesting stuff I really should be getting to, which will require some measure of skill to tell properly.

Hopefully, Wiley.  Although I've come to the shocking realization that summer may, in fact, soon be coming to a close ...

I was kinda hoping it would be longer this year.

Madame...I disagree with you...I think you are a gifted writer! I love the
way you tell a story!

Yeah, it sure is, Runs at dawn ...

The worst part is that sick feeling you get in your stomach, upon realizing that yet another day has been totally wasted watching surgeons perform an emergency gastric bypass on a morbidly obese shut-in.

As do I, Davy ... I can't get enough of them.

I saw one where a guy's friend had accidentally shot him in the head with an arrow!  Yet, the victim was still conscious and behaving "normally"; in fact, he actually walked right into the emergency room under his own power.

I love the way you write...it's so much better than my style.  You at least keep the attention of the reader with humor and whatnot.  I tend to lean on the more serious side...and that can be good or bad, but generally leads to a poor readership if the scholarship isn't there...which it's not in my case.  Anywho...don't be discouraged!  Sometimes distraction while writing can lead to some great pieces...as yours are evidence for.  Cricket ><>

Love them!

I understand your plight completely... It's horrible, isn't it?

That's hilarious, fourcats ...

At first, I was like, "What the hell is she talking about?"

But then I figured out what you were referring to.

i'm guessing that's exactly what the doctors said,
"okay, let's get cracking."

Thank you so much, Justi!

Although, let's not get too carried away, though.

In all seriousness, I do try to mix a variety of humor styles into the blog, so at the very least it stays reasonably fresh.

I have found that Wikipedia provides many laughs on a wide variety of topics, MooseBalls ...

Meanwhile, I'm not really a fan of cinnamon anything, actually.

Rock Paper Scissors strategies

There is a bit of strategy involved, you have to try and guess what the other person is going to throw. That's why somestimes randomness is the best strategy. Plus the hardasses like to throw a lot of rock. If you want a real good laugh, check out wikipedia's page on rock paper scissors. You'd be amazed how in depth they go into it.

And i hate Cinnamon pop-tarts, glad to find someone out there like me, everyone always tells me how great they are, yet there are completely inferior to warm chocolate chip and any type of frosted fruit filled one.

I do drink a lot of Red Bull, ShutterCat ...

I'm up to about a quart a day, actually.  However, it doesn't seem to be working like it used to.  Perhaps, I've grown immune.
