What are back to school supplies anyway?
My son is going into third grade next year. Does he need something? I thought the teachers tell us what the kids need when they get there... maybe that is just this town...
Your mom has been watching those Elmer's Glue commercials, hasn't she? I hate those commercials. Makes me feel like a bad mom for not buying my kids glue for school. (They don't need glue!

It's gone very dark in here. But bright at the same time. I didn't know
whether to turn the light on or bring sunglasses. Black on white is always my preference for major bodies of text. In short, YUK! BLEUGH! Change it back, please. But then I am an old fuddy-duddy.

Lifetime original cookie-cutter scripts
I could write one now: a 15-ish girl gets raped by a (coach, teacher, gynecologist), but she doesn't report it right away. When she finally makes the allegation, the only person who believes her is her (mother, aunt, mentor); and everyone else blames the girl. There are initial setbacks in the trial, but eventually it gets proven and the girl is vindicated. There's a lot of sobbing and hugging. The end.

Aaron, although the term "Lifetime original movie has taken on a very negative stigma ...
the reality is, many of them are actually even halfway watchable.
Oh, and I like Renee Zellweger ... generally speaking, anyway.

If I thought senioritis was bad in high school...this year is my senior year of college. It's going to be pretty rough...plus, I have to work at least 30 hours a week for the bank, and I sing in my college's music team...that travels...yippee. Thankfully, while many of my friends return to college in August, I do not go back til the end of September...and with this many years under my belt, I alreayd have most of my school supplies. Best of wishes for you!

Why do you hate school so much? Was it because of the journal episode that you experienced in school? I went to your link and read about it. I had a few bad experiences in school as well.
I don't blame you for not wanting to go.
I will never miss my school days.
The school of real life experiences is so much more fascinating.

I'm sure school can't be all that bad....
{did I just sound like your mom?}
Anyway, you're very blessed to have the privilege of attending a nice school {some look like burned-out, abandoned prisons} and you're also very lucky to be able to AFFORD to go shopping. Many kids go back to school with NO new clothes and Welfare paying for their supplies.
I'll take a bow now and just sit down.

Hope you're signed up for a science class...
maybe physics -- string theory and the unified theory of everything -- when you go back to school... Start talking about quantum mechanics and the space-time continuum and you'll see the listener's eyes glaze over, they'll back off and forget about shopping for school supplies... Because in your new field of endeavor, you'll need a really good laptop and eventually your own superconductor...:)
