I live in a rain zone (west coast)
but I am all too familiar, having come from the east, how nature seems to silence itself when the heat and the drought of the summer sets in. Hope there's some rain in your future and the birds resurface.

There is something drowning about the heat when it is to humid but when it dries out like it is now and is hot it feels like it will litteraly burn soon. I hope you get more rain and us too.
