I like it too..It could have been inspired by all the fire storms that swept through a very good portion of our county about 3 years back. All the smoke and ash in the air made the sky look SO spectacularly eerie! It felt like dooms day or the end of the world...Much like primitaive people must have interpreted eclipses.

that is a beautiful photo
it almost looks like it was altered...hand colored or photoshop-ed or something. but that still doesn't take away from the fact that it is SUPERCOOL.

How does going for walks keep you sane?
Because when I do so, I usually end up carrying on a conversation with myself. And sometimes the discussions get rather heated, actually. And that certainly doesn't help my mental state!
P.S. Lovely photo, though.
