we had the same problem just a few weeks ago. I was staying at the coast (my sister was at home) and all of a sudden ... bang, no electricity! We have one of the penthouse flats, so I had to go down all these stairs (in the dark) to check if it was our own power that had been cut, or a general problem. I got into the cellar without breaking anything, and found out that it was a general problem. By the time I had gotten up all those stairs again, the lights were on and I could take the lift!

Whacky,
Today the lights went out when I was getting my hair done at the salon. Whew! Luckily, I was just under the hair dryer with some deep conditioning treatment, not getting a chemical process or anything like that. Something about an electrical storm or something, made the power go out on a long stretch of the neighborhood. It took at least 45 minutes to come back on. What a nuisance. Had I been home, I'd've just taken a nap. :)

Whacky...I love candles and always have them at the ready. I keep
a flashlight in every room! You can see my necklace now...I finally got a photo posted!

Start gathering up flashlights, and figuring out what to do if it stays off. We have been very fortunate here. Last December, the power went off for two days. That was the longest outage we've had in the five years we've been here.

I HATE it when the power goes off...I'm scared of the dark. Don't do much when that happens....BTW...I posted the first bit of the re-write I'm doing for our exercise if you're interested in reading it. Let me know what you think!!
