Comments on NAZISM IS ALIVE AND KICKING, AND LIVING IN SAADS'S BLOG

I feel so ignorant and so lacking in any understanding regarding
this, but having read your post it has shed some light on a few things.

I never really listened to the politics in these situations because it has seemed since I was old enough to hear 'shhhhh, the news is on', that there has always been this war, and from what I understood at an early age is, people like to be right, and some people will fight to be right irrespective of logic or cost involved.  The politics has no place in it anymore, it's taken the very last seat on that bus, because the fighting is the issue.

My husband is of Jewish descent. His great-grandfather was thrown out of the family in Germany as he fell in love with and married a Protestant girl.  He emigrated to the U.S., and because the family had cut ties with him, when WW2 hit, due to lack of any proper traceability and lack of family contact, it is thought that my husband's family are the only surviving branch. There's a mix of religion remaining in the family, predominantly Catholic, but not exactly what you'd call practising for the most part.

My husband is very well versed on all political situations in the world down to the most obscure (guarantee you he'll have heard of it).  The minute any documentary regarding his heritage comes on, I am dragged into the living room to watch.  Because I married him, and we have a child, it has now become part of my obligation to her, to be aware of her heritage.

The fact that someone might hate my daughter because of her heritage/lineage, scares me.  I can't conceive of hating anyone's child regardless of what their parents may have done to me.

So I owe it to her to be better informed, thank you Ariel70 for bringing this to my doorstep, it's a wake up call.

by "here" I meant in Seattle, where I'm physically located. I'm going to shut up and go fix dinner now before I dig myself any deeper

Justi, I hate to overgeneralize and I was a little careless in
characterizing New Agers, and there's plenty here, as kneejerk, so you were right to point that out. Thank you, and no worries on my account, I hope.  Have a great evening, I'm going to fix dinner.

Great post, ariel70. And thanks for sticking up for me (or so it seemed)

in one of your responses to saads' comments.

You have written an excellent post and something every thinking Muslim should read.  I say "thinking," since I fear saads has simply lost all thoughtfulness and become filled with irrational hate.  To think that the Muslims of the world can have such hatred for this tiny country of Israel is beyond me.  Again, it's irrational.

I did not write that well. I did not mean those "new agers" in the last one but just those people.

let me clearify myself before we have disaster here. I did not take it that you were against any and all new agers but those who refused to see there was a time and place when nothing would work but war. You simply said it well. Forgive me if I got to close.

I know what you mean about that bloggers posts. He seems oblivious to any suggestions and comments that do not match his own. Very sad if you ask me! He's not the only one though, there is another just as bad as he.

Ariel, et al, I don't want to join in a witch hunt, and become that which I
really hate in myself: irrational and ganging up on someone who can't defend themselves.   The comment I made below about New Agers, I would apply to anyone who goes to extremes in the name of religion or politics.

The trouble is that no amount of sound logical reasoning

Has any affect on these people. Something's wrong with them. They can't think rationally anymore. They don't have any common sense. They've lost compassion, their very soul, I believe.

Instead, they're intent on evil and destruction. Even though your post is very well written and makes perfect sense, it will have NO affect of the likes of Saad.

Their hearts have turned to stone. They've sold their souls to the devil himself.

Ariel70, I have not recently read saads but, I will now go back and read some of the recent posts there.  You always write in such an intelligent and compelling way.  You are very easy to read and you always hold my attention to the end no matter what is your subject matter.

I am sorry you are so hurt by this. It is something actually that is needed. As long as he spews his hatred people will finally see the other side. I have tried to blog about that and there are many on here who have all but strung me up to dry. There is from one to three blogs by one blogger that copies my stuff and discredits it according to his logic. People need to hear you they need to know the truth, they need to see this hatred because it is real. Thanks for posting, you stand a chance of getting into trouble you know. You are a brave and good man.

Blanch's comment about the new agers was right on, it is the comment of the week. They are totally out of it where reality is concerned. This country needs to become cohesive if possible.

Ariel, which is another reason why I'm sick of living in a society
surrounded by New Age peaceniks, with knee-jerk pacificism, they lap that stuff right up.

This attitude that the ends justify the means if the true evil of people such as saads. No cause can justify the deliberate murder of the innocent.

And the deliberate ploy of Hezbollah and other cowardly murderers is murder by proxy, hiding among innocent civilians. UNlike Israelis, they do not even have the excuse of fighting for their lives.

Like Hitler's willing executioners, they kill because it's their preferred method ; the revel in the deaths of infidels.

Ariel, that was my sense,

If someone lives for vengeance and hatred, how can anyone reason?  I did let myself get a little heated when I first posted a comment to Saads section, it was the day after the shooting in the Jewish Federation building here in Seattle, where a manic-depressive man of Pakistani descent, although American born and raised, went into a building and shot 6 women, killing one.

Saads response to bring up Lebanon. I don't know who is innocent or guilty, but taking a gun and shooting 6 unarmed women is an act of monstrous cowardice.

Yes indeed, how right you are.

There are no wholly good guys in this situation, but to lay all the blame for everything at the door of Israel, America and her Allies is monstrous

This can only inflame existing hatreds and engender new ones. What is it with this guy that he can't/won't/doesn't even mention anything bad that Arabs do? Is he blind? Deaf? Or stupid? Of course not.

I guess you don't have a lot of knowledge of Pakistan either, Blanche ( and why would you?) and when you read in the second part of this post just what sort of place saads comes from you'll see why I find his moralising so sickening. Believe me, it's no model democracy, with a moral history!

Ariel, I am not well informed on the history of the Middle East, but

it's clear to me even at a cursory glance, that this is a blood feud that has been going on for thousands of years, and that neither Israel, the US, or Hezbollah are "innocent" so to frame the debate in terms of moral outrage is to deny the truth of war, there has been too much blood shed for anyone to play the aggrieved party.

Also, that Osama Bin Laden plotted two World Center attacks over several years indicates a cunning and patience that is not readily understood by the Western mind, he lives for vengeance, others simply live.
