No, Nautikos, I wasn't suggesting that the slow drivers on Hwy 101 are
Canadian, we have plenty of those homegrown! I have done most of the traveling I feel like over the last 20 years, right now, I'm quite happy putting down roots and tending my home, but maybe a few photos?

Blanche,
I'm sure it's not the Canadian drivers slowing things up on your 101, I bet you it's some American houses...
But you should come East some time! Our mountains are not quite as high, but you can get up there...

Nautikos, well, here I am, returning the click, and find you just back from
Hallifax, Nova Scotia, and Maine. I can't say that I'm likely to get there anytime soon, as I am across the continent on the West Coast, but I am laughing at your description of Maine: Half the state sells antiques and the other half manufactures them.
As for the dirving, well, I guess that could be said of the Highway 101 drivers on the West Coast, from Canada to California, they're in "vacation mode" I guess. Sorry to hear about your Canadian border snafu, those things are aggravating.

taking the whole family?
Well, I'm sure you'll have a great time, and if you can, visit some of the places I mentioned. (Do take umbrellas, though, it does get a little wet now and then, especially in the fall.)

Wiley,
you encountered houses on the road as well? Have Americans taken to moving about their country with their houses on their backs, as it were, like snails?

Welcome back dude, and hey, I was in Maine, Vermont, NH and NY States, and I passed a house too. How odd is that eh? I was in Maine on the 10th of July. Love Nova Scotia, spent many, many months of the year there servicing printing equipment. Great blog hoss
