I don't know what the deal was, but it could not have been for state laws, he is being sent to Federal Prision. It is rediculous to me. I will ask around about those things you have brought up, because his children are more savvy than to have let some stupidity do this unless it is the Judge who is slack.

Seriously
Any halfway decent attorney with an once of brain should realize that this is not a felony weapons possession charge. It may be wise to contact senators, and city officals to make sure that everyone realizes that, other than waste tax payers money, and prove their incompetence;this man should At most,be handed a fine, and maybe community service,(Depending on state law). If you find this ridiculous and unjust, please,do not take it lightly. There are people that you voted into office. Make sure they know what they're doing.

TAPS that is so true. That is why God is truely just, and love even when we
may feel as Job did it wasn't fair! I am thankful we have the master of justice.

Justi, fair is to one what unfair is to another. I would hate to have to base my life, my hopes, my happiness on human fairness. That is why we have laws, because you cannot depend on what is fair.

I think it also is a gradual persuasion to get guns out of the hands of the decent owners.

It's crazy...
I think you have him pegged right...easy to convict. And think how that will improve the statistics on some report about crime prevention!

Factor
It begins in Alabama and goes along a single highway yard after yard through AL, Tenn, Kentucky and it is done every year. Some incredible stuff I have heard. I have never been even though the beginning of it is less than 50 miles from my home. Thanks for reading. Life is not fair, but what is fair?

First
To quote my father, speaking to my son just the other day... "Life is not fair." Of course it was in reference to the fact that my son restarted a video game after he did not like how he started off...
Second, I have seen about 4 different states down south advertise the longest yard sale. What does it refer to to be "longest" and how can multiple states claim it? (I think I saw these in Southern Living last.)

I think they should have confiscated his guns, explained the law, and let him go. I'm sure he didn't realize he was doing anything wrong.
Have a good day, Justi.

I agree with you totally. This is part of the prerequisite for getting all the guns out of our hands. Fear and fairness...... Thanks for the comment.

Such a caring comment. I don't think you need to feel guilty for what you have earned. I believe we all are to give to the feeding of the hungry, clothing of the naked but you are to enjoy what you have, that is how you can share. Be blessed.

Since he had no past record....he should have been told what the laws now were and sent on his way.
Fairness is in the eye of the beholder.......a word used by many to manipulate rules, regulations and laws.

What is fair to some is unfair to others
I feel guilt driving around in a vehicle while passing poverty stricken people. To them this is surely unfair, but to me it is fair as I have worked hard for the privilage. It is not an easy question you have posed, but very thought provoking. Thanks.
