If hate were the opposite of love,
it might make sense. But hate and love are conjoined -- passionate involvement, even obsession. Most of my hate has become indifference. There was a guy, the worst man I ever knew, mostly I'm indifferent to him now, but there is that shameful little kernel of satisfaction in knowing that he's lying in the bed he made, and he's not happy. :) Hope you're okay.

Madam
good songs??? Great songs at that! Changing seasons, rotating fads, like fading colors...thank you for this lovely insight.

I've always felt strong connections to "Save Me" by Aimee Mann, "Fade Into You" by Mazzy Starr, "1979" by Smashing Pumpkins, and "Mary Jane's Last Dance" by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
Though that might just be 'cause they're good songs.
As the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again,
I sat there thinking about life.
Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling?
Sometimes it seemed that way

those days are over exactly one year from Aug 3rd, but the shame lingers, the pain hangs...but a paste a smile on my face...and that smile will soon blend in to be true.

so many songs can tell it better than we can ourselves. This one sounds
pretty dark.
