But, mikea, how can I worry about something I don't even notice?

What's an arse, ShutterCat?

I'm not sure I even have one of those.

posted by Mademoiselle on August 12, 2006 at 3:19 PM | link to this | reply

Just because you are paranoid
Doesn't mean they aren't out to get you. But of course, the real people to worry about are the ones you don't notice.

I wouldn't drop the paranoia altogether
A little paranoia can help keep your arse above ground.

But those so-called "precautionary measures" are just sheer lunacy, Frankenkitty!

What's a "jumper cable"?

Though a little of it, goes a long way, Darrke.

Good point, Aaron, I should tell my mother that ...

But I won't ...

because I'm afraid of her.

I guess I'll find out tonight, Ann.

That happens with most of my posts, Azur.

You are racking up the comments!
Paranoia, to me, is the same feeling that leads people to keep jumper cables in their cars and fire extinguishers by their stoves.    I wouldn't ignore a bad feeling, even if it seems irrational to other people. Have a nice evening

A little paranoia is healthy...

I'm doing well, Kingmi. (I just pre-ordered something online.) Thanks for asking.

And, you?

WTMI = Way Too Much Information

posted by Mademoiselle on August 11, 2006 at 10:52 AM | link to this | reply

.....hmmmm......to make your mother your slave would be considerably more difficult (it would require candles and incense among other things and  a LOT of work on my part)......it can be done but, my commission would be more like 50% (esp. with the loss of cash from the sale of Pavel) and I would need cash down........sorry, you went right over my head........... WMTI would be???????? MoonSpirit

Why on Earth would I want to think that, fourcats?

posted by Mademoiselle on August 11, 2006 at 10:26 AM | link to this | reply

That's quite a plan, Moon.

Though, I would actually prefer that my mother became my slave. I can already easily manipulate Michelle, as it is.

Also, I might miss Pavel. A little.

P.S. It took me a while to realize that by "ME", you meant "Middle Eastern".  At first I thought you were implying you bought young boys. And I was, like, WTMI!

posted by Mademoiselle on August 11, 2006 at 10:25 AM | link to this | reply

Perhaps, Corbin.

The irony is that no one has come close to uncovering its whereabouts yet.

posted by Mademoiselle on August 11, 2006 at 10:19 AM | link to this | reply

No offense, Ann, but that sort of stuff seems a tad kooky to me.

I think I'll probably just wear a necklace made of garlic.

Those questions (and more) shall be answered in upcoming posts, Runs at dawn ...

The problem is, complex stories such as these require my actually being awake to write them.

think sloppy felt material cowboy hat, sloping shoulders and buck teeth.

posted by fourcats on August 11, 2006 at 8:54 AM | link to this | reply

Mademoiselle, if you approach this correctly, you might be able to solve several of your problems. First, being ME, your neighbors would have a propensity for buying young boys and while Pavel is on the outer fringes of 'young' the fact that he is fair (and I assume blonde) I still think you could get a good price for him. Second, since I'm sure that you continue in contact with the FBI (after reporting 'those people'), you will be able to report their illegal trafficing in human flesh. This will give the FBI a pretext to arrest them and open the doors for you to collect the reward. Third, after the FBI vans leave, you can sneak into the house and collect the valuables: Persian rugs, Turkish art, they'll have gold and jewels, etc. Fourth, with all of the money (sale of brother, FBI reward, ME loot) you'll be in a position to bring commitment proceedings against mother (I'll tell you more about how to do this later), leaving you in total charge of the homefront. Michelle and Manon will be forced to become your slaves, you can get rid yourself of your worthless boyfriend and move an older wiser gentleman in with you. Is life good or what? It's all in knowing how to plan things. MoonSpirit  p.s. I do expect a commission (let's say 10%) for giving you the keys to independence, freedom and happiness.

Regarding that matter, if you believe in the power of "protection" from the rosary or other forms, carry it along on your person. You will be saved. As for the rest of your family, do as you see fit....

You really need to elaborate on this one

LOL. Are you afraid she will take revenge on the stolen gnome? By the way, did you ever return it?

Also, you never told us what your grandfather's secret was.

No, Ann, I was thinking they might actually be possesssed by Mrs. Schumacher's ghost.

Although, for some reason, when you write that out, it seems sorta silly.

I considered that possibility, Shamsuddin.

there's a cartoon called "tumbleweed"
one of the characters (i think tumbleweed himself, i don't really know the cartoon well) is a little dim.  one day another character walks by and sees tumbleweed sitting dejectedly on a fence.  "why so glum?" he asks.  "people think i'm stupid" says tumbleweed. "aw, you're just being paranoid".   "no i'm not", says tumbleweed, "i had my paranoids took out when i was ten."

Always good advice, Tanga.

Except for this one time, when my instincts told me to go ahead and try to leap over a large poodle, because I could "easily make it".
