Justi

good post!

And since fwmystic needs an explanation for the connection between Iraq and al-Qaeda, amazing though that may be, I'll give it to him: Islamic Fascism. Even without the organizational connection (ever heard of  bin-Laden's statements about 'al-Qaeda-in-Iraq'?) it would exist, since the fundamental ideology is the same.

That the Shiah and Sunni factions are at one another's throats as well has its reasons in tribalism and the recent history of Sunni domination under Sadam. Will that do for now?

You put it right in the right spot. They disrespect him because of sheer pride. It is not about right or wrong. It is not about getting a better adgenda, it is about losing and election and freebies.

Loved the below comments (including the usual predictable

Lib/Dem comment).

Hey Justi, I was talking with my dad this afternoon, and at one point he asked, with a voice dripping with sarcasm, "so what do you think about those peace loving Muslims?"  I launched into a diatribe against the latest terrorist plots, but for sure, my dad's sarcasm in calling them "peace loving Muslims" is very appropriate.  "Peace" and "Muslim" are oxymorons!

Justi, I cannot understand how some Americans think.  They want to be safe, but all they do is beat our President up for trying to keep us safe.  How can they be so blind?  George Bush has the balls to stand up to these animals called terrorists and all he gets is disrespect and unappreciativeness.  I can't figure it out, can you?

Yes I guess if we wanted the pulse of that party we can check out those two posts...

Why is it they never seem to understand when something might just be working? I find it hard to believe some people are so out of touch in this area..we must remain proactive to insure our own destiny.

Justi......

Thank God...we had someone who doesn't make decisions based on polls...........

On a political note.   This event is a nightmare for the LibDems...........it couldn't have happened at a more inopportune time......

Wait and see....... the Leftists in their party...the ones that think they just won a major victory...will start claims that this was all a plan by Blair and Bush to save their political hides......probably dreamed up by Cheney and Rove........wait it see.... MoveOn and the Daily Kos are probably composing the conspiracy accusations right now.........

We'll know when it happens....when we check mystic's or xeno's posts.......

Justi, The Democrats have mislead America into a false sense ofsecurity
The Republicans have consistently sounded the alarm for vigilance. Who are the best leaders in a war?

We are smart enough to make smart bombs surely we can .....
Figure out some ways to lead the world away from was as a political strategy while at the same time even MORE vigorously pursuing and apprehending terrorists.  At least we would not create more and more terrorists.

I think America has been lulled into a stupor regarding this terrorism thing. I have waited for something of this magnitude to take place. My only surprise is that it took them this long. Perhaps, we are making headway.
