Oh my gosh! How sweet! My grandmother had an orange ceramic
cookie jar she kept in the corner cupboard on a lazy susan! Everytime we went over there, I would go stand by the cupboard until she offered me a cookie! We got to get our own and we had to be so careful not to break the cookie jar! Now if my hateful old grandfather wouldn't have made fun of me being so fat, that might just be a perfect memory! Thanks for the flash back!

You are such a baby---sweet-chocolaty baby that is--well done!
There is no adult judgment or second thoughts and this helps make the poem effective. shalom

How are you today?
I can empathise with these flashbacks to childhood, and find it interesting that you mix NZ/Oz terms - like lollies - with more European ones like sweets - a mixing of cultures... it happens by accident and sometimes we don't know we're doing it. Perhaps you could re-work this and bring in
des bons-bons aussi..
