- Go to When A Low Opinion Of Others Surfaces Yet AGAIN
Yes, try to accept it. But some do not try.

True - I know they say you should laugh off unfair comments but
it's easier said than done. Besides, as you said, others may believe them.

This sounds like a little uncited payback. Sounds ok to me...
Never mind being misunderstood, though. Try having a porous memory, forgetting people you like and work with, live next door to. It hurts their feelings, makes them angry. Being misunderstood seems to be better than being misfiled.

Bring on the Buckleys. No, I am not at all worried what anyone thinks but I will correct when misquoted. If we have to be polite to point of hiding our feelings we will all become bunged up methinks!
Good luck with things

taps, I agree with that. Some are pre-occupied with
how they are perceived when in fact it is more often not a case of people thinking ill of them but not thinking of them at all. You know I think some people have more trouble with that - not feeling listened to.
As I say, I don't expect everyone's good opinion and if I had it well then I would have to think about who is concealing there feelings.
Even if we do our level best to please everyone we can't. I also think that it is only natural that opinions surface. People say a lot about how people should not let out feelings in outbursts but forget that real feelings seep out all the time.

Azur, We all exist in the centers or our own little worlds. Some forget that everyone else has their own center and that sometimes we are on the far perifery of that. Sometimes it is easy to think that someone thinks ill of us, when the truth of the matter is that they are not thinking of us at all due to their own problems or interests.

Never mind the begrudgers or the nay-sayers, I'm part Buckley, and
believe you me, if ever you need anyone to back you up, there's nothing better than a Buckley, they're all a bit mad y'know. I try to keep that part of myself under wraps most of the time, it's like when the witch in 'Sleepy Hollow' chains herself to wall to await the spirit, that'd be me, inviting the 'Buckley'.
I'm just kidding, for feck sake, let them p*ss off, you're one of the most level-headed, nonjudgemental people round here, if they've a problem with that then they're obviously la-la & I'm not talking Teletubbies.
I'm gonna get some sleep.
Be good.
