MasonG, great thought.
I certainly cannot imagine a harem of 72 jealous virgins . . . . Thanks for commenting!

..yes... we must keep our sense of humor.. in the midst of the madness...
...what is this nonsense and insane preoccupation with virgins? ...I really prefer a partner who knows how to push the buttons... with first timers it's usually traumatic, often for both.... multiple wives? I look back on my marriages and live-ins... all of them together in the same house?!? ...it would be a bloody carnage and definitely on the 6 o'clock news....

My paradise would be more like 70 virgin fishing lakes, every now and then going to visit my two daughters. But I think even more I'd like to see the paradise no man can imagine that is promised to folllowers of Jesus.

Neither!
They're all freaks and I tend to keep my family away from them.

What a hoot! Nautikos, thanks for your information. ROFL!!!
This god, Allah, doesn't it seem to you that he was thought up by the romantic and sex crazed mind of a pervert? To assume that virginity is restored after each "encounter"? And that 72 virgins are awaiting each martyr?
No thanks. This truly is a religion for men, and I am thankful that the majority of men on the planet are not yet crazy enough to buy into its weirdness.

Jane,
I have no particular liking for Mr. Jeffs and his very small crowd, but it seems to me that we ought to be much more concerned with the rather large Muslim crowd espousing similar views.
By the way, you are short-changing them on the virgin issue: martyrs are getting 72, not a mere 70! And what's more, according to the Egyptian cab driver who drove me the other day, and who claimed to be an expert, Allah restores their virginity after each - encounter...

LeRoy, you've got a really good point.
I'm of the female variety, yet I cannot imagine an eternity with 70 such virgins. No harems for me, thanks very much!

Justi, that's a great idea!
I like that. Or, we could put all the terrorists in with the FLDS and they could cross breed into something really frightening. . . .

Amen Rumored -- some levitation of our thoughts
(errr and for some a few body parts -- forgive the rated R component to this) is appropriate every now and then!

OMG….this is so indicative of the narrow mindedness
inherent to extreme fundamentalist thought….why do people have to get so overwrought?
