Thirty years ago

it took me twenty minutes to get to the library.  I filled out a card for them to send to me when a book I reserved came in.  I got the post card two months after the postmark.  And of course the book had been given to the next person on the list.

Now if I send anything I know needs to get somewhere, I stuff the envelope with bubble pack so it's 3/4" thick and put a delivery confirmation sticker on it.  Costs a few pennies more, but I can track it on-line.

My folks had rural delivery and their route was being ravaged by a thief/vandal

They had witnesses, they had evidence, but just geting someone to listen was hard. They finally cornered the local poastmaster who suggested they arrange PO boxes.

Where's Kevin Costner when you need him!

I have Moved Three Times

Since my divorce and my ex's junk mail has followed me.

I bet if you ask the post office, they will tell you that you are on a short route.
