Yep
Actually I think it was his son who he dangled because his daughter is 8 years old. So his day job was currator of the zoo. Sounds like he should have just stuck to that & left the wild things alone. But as I say in my own post it was pretty much a freak accident but swimming with rays is a dangerous activity.

Irwin took a lot of risks, many of which were (in my opinion) unnecessary - like going up to the nests of croc eggs (you don't want to mess with Mama Crocodile). I told my daughter earlier today that it wasn't a matter of
if he died while doing his job, but
when he would do so.

When I heard of his death this morning, I was stunned!
And surprised that it was a stingray that did it. I had always thought he'd be maimed or killed by one of the crocs/gators/snakes that he's always handling.
My heart goes out to his family.
