We are all just peons when you boil it all down. “Leaders” or people who believe their way is the right way lead innocent people into battle – a battle that in most cases is unwanted by the most. The majority of us just want family, dinner, children on swings, new school books, the loving eyes of a spouse, a trip to the butcher absent of threat, and so on. Simplicity of life lost and misguided mayhem well told in this piece.

Lionlad--bravo.It doesn't take anything away BUT last line lowers greatness
of this fantastic poem. Just a thought--or explanation-- why include "dick" in this last line. It's really well-written and powerful. I love it, and thank you, all the same. Shalom
