Hi Passionflower
Thank you for stopping by friend. I am afraid of this act of mans stupidity more then his acts of war, at least with war he dreams of victory and the its reward of spoils and glory. One day I can see man comming of age and throwing them latter toys away, for mankind will have reached adulthood in understanding and will step-out into his brand new day to breath in the air of its wisdom but. . . . I am afraid the air by then will be toxic and his brand new day will already be yesterday. . . . . . GONE. . . . .

Very cleverly done...
It's too bad that the people who could change things won't get it. Those of us with eyes to see and ears to hear may mourn the loss of our planet and our species, but there ain't much we can do but write about the travesty.

Lionladroar....I love the poetry coupled with picture....I did some blogs like that awhile back but, they were upsetting so I removed them.....I did not however manipulate the backgrounds and use color like you do....your work is very beautiful.....it is very pleasing to the senses.....it opens the pathways for the receipt of your words.....Blog on! Powerful, wise and light--a tremendous achievement. Mother Earth thanks you
You capture the self-defeating brilliance of some leaders, scientists, thinkers:
"Maybe no Salmon
But
Trout still run up
Our streams."
Yes, we may always have the night--only the nights.

Yes TAPS I do see bits and pieces of waste floating up and down the river Stour on her tides and some of the crap washing up on her banks and shorelines. Maybe if some of the people who are responsible for dumping their rubbish out at sea. Were one day able too see the results their blind crimes . They may have a change of attitude, or you never know even heart. Thanks TAPS

lionladroar, for one who searches the shores for driftwood, you must certainly see your share of pollution floating in and lying around.

Pollution
I like the way the photo and the poem speak individually but together make quite a statement.

Wow, that's good. Love the pic and adore the poem. It's like a slightly
more rooted Edward Lear. Good stuff. Swiftian too.
