Dear White-Cossack-
Thank you for sharing that. I'm relieved that your aunt and her child were safe; I can imagine the relief following those 3 days of not knowing. My hat is off to your hero friends. I share with you and the nation that feeling of mixed emotions.

For 3 days after 9/11
My family thought we had lost one of my Aunts and her daughter. They turned up safe and the family was very relieved. It was two weeks later that I got the news of the deaths of several firefighter friends - first responders who went into those buildings and never came out. I still think about them with a mixture of admiration and remorse. Each of them, warts and all, were truly some of the best men I will ever know.

Thank you for the comment and the so true part that his story is inspirational. I know my birth into this world was a much more painful experience than will be my death.

Kenny must have lived by the quote you gave us on Sunday!
Kenny must have lived in readiness for the coming of the Lord, to be at such peace as he looked toward the heavenly kingdom on 9/11. There is real lesson for us in so many of the 9/11 stories. When we are tempted to doubt it stories like these which revive our faith and give us hope that truly God is with us from the beginning ot the end. thanks for sharing Kenny's story!

Isn't that the truth, whether we'll be put to the test.

Cee -
You summed it up best. He had complete trust in the divine, something I would hope to have if I were in a similar situation.
