Let's see, on impulse today I bought a can of honey roasted peanuts,
two packages of cookie mix (peanut butter, on sale, which was my justification) and a Snicker's candy bar.  None, of course, of these wonderful but very unhealthy items were on my list.  Can we say impulse buying related to being PMS???????

hehe, Whacky as usual!
I don't think it applies to all impulses, but many times it is simply our intuition.

The prices are going nutty over the nuts!. You made me smile.

Whacky, I wonder if the can of cashews that I bought to make cashew

chicken will last long enough for me to actually make it.  I can hear it calling my name in the cupboard now.  I haven't seen Cracker Jacks in years, but somehow it doesn't surprise that they're giving out tattoos as prizes.  You have to start young.

I love your line, "the guy is still out digging with a teaspoon" and "some of those drivers are still there". I'm not sure all my impulses have been good ones, but some have saved my life, so I can't complain.

Yep......
The prizes arent what they used to be.....I am the proud owner of a shoebox full of actual cracker jacks "prizes".  Little compasses, pot metal toys like Monopoly game pieces. BB puzzles, and tiny little baseball bats are among a few in the mix.   Another 10 years or so and the should be worth a hell of a lot more than the cracker jacks.......

Whacky, funny you say that
Because I just transferred all my investments to the pecan industry.  It was quite easy.

Whacky

Man you hit the nail on the head...Cracker Jack surprises are not what they used to be.

When I go through the check out I use tunnel vision so as not to buy the impulse items...they can't fool me..so how did I end up with the Cracker Jacks?

Whacky

We all have guides and guardian angels. They communicate to us, though not through means we are accustomed to.

I used to work at Sam's. We would put 'impulse items' near the checkouts so that people had neither the time nor the opportunity to think over buying it. Sneaky, huh?

They also ran a huge duct from the bakery to the front entrance, so that everyone who walked in smelled the delicious, enticing aromas. That worked well, too.

Pecans are so rare here
that you could probably use a bag as a deposit for a house.

Well, Whacky, one can often sense their
guardian angel(s) but they certainly won't intervene to stop us from impulse buying! I'm sure of it!

Whacky, I just love your sense of humor.  You crack me up (or should that be whack me up?)  LOL.

i was just looking at cracker jacks the other day! i didn't buy them
though.  i do buy nuts, all the time, usually almonds, filberts and pecans.  they're a snack for me instead of junk food.  you know, i probably would still buy cracker jacks if they still had the decent prizes you used to be able to get.  i'm a sucker for a good "free inside" toy.
