Hi Chris
I can really sympathise with this, having had three children (so far) and recognise that the mother often seems to have the most to do. Come on us dads! We must do our bit too!

Yup… any mother can relate to this

I hope you continued to carve out that hour (or perhaps 2 now).  Quiet, personal space is critical – an escape to return to self and your higher Power.

I loved your poem
and have been taking some time like that for myself, as well. Total therapy. Here's to many more Quiet Hours throughout our lifetime.

We all need that one small hour for are selfs or we would be crazy with are 24 hour a day mother duty

I think most mothers will know exactly what you mean.
the poem has a nice lilt to it, I can almost feel your relief. it is palpable.
