Parting ways with someone we love (when it’s not a mutual decision) can be such a painful time! I, too, have been known to write down a barrage of thoughts when I found myself “saying good-bye”. It’s therapeutic.

Glad to see this is another Oldie....
...you were so sad at that time. Writing always seems to help. Why I don't quite know. I think we see it written and it helps us to look at it more rationaly.

Writing this has got to be a useful tool in dealing with the inner feelings of regret for a lost relationship. And I think everyone can really identify with this poem. It's a delight to read!
