Salsa haiku as a comment.

Hips' waves and skirts' turns.

Union of badies and souls.

Salsa in my life!

Dear Mariclaire. . .
I have read your passionate verse on Venice, colourful mix of emotions spreading French Gallic Flair, stealing a moment in time and presenting your painting with Claude Monet flicks of style for our minds eye. Thank you. Mike ps the mirror you look in every day reflects untruths if you believe your mundane at set in your unpassionte ways

You made me hear the music, feel the heat,
and hear the heals on the hard floor.  Excellent!

Lionladroar, I like what Burkett had to say... although it is slightly
idealized. I hate to admit this, but I have grown accustomed to the mild New Zealand ways, they are boringly reassuring, predictable, amiable and hospitable people...I even caught myself being irritated by the French irritability and arrogance, the passion seems to be not the kind I would wish for.  May be I am growing old, funny thing is I simply don't fit in here either, being too fiery and passionate for the likes of New Zealanders, so I cannot win. Best just being me, passion is great but...for whom. One wild night, then what? Reality is somewhat different tempered by the boring necessities of life. I just don't know anymore, still there is something appealing about the Latin countries, they are vibrant alive and passionate. I guess it is a love hate relationship with the people...It is getting too late to think properly anyway. Good night. I am losing the plot here.

Passionate people love life and family Marieclaire

Thank the Gods for the French and Spanish Marieclaire

Their customs and fiery passionate ways, their flavours of mind birthing artists with unusual tasting souses for the weary foreigner abandoning their palates of tedium in existent with liberal medium. For their achievability in keeping the Siesta, two hour lunch breaks, where homemade carte due jour has time, in enjoyment. Digesting around tables family’s wants and needs. Thus keeping their own individuality in the face political correctness in its Jackbooted stamping across Europe shouting NO Individualisms. NO Eccentricity. NO uniqueness, but Yes, you must except LAWS made over night in Spin. Bland realisms in prison, our minds in chains, we Brits and Celts flee towards your shores of France and Spain in search of Avalon, where we once came. So I humbly beg France and plead Spain, keep your different burning flame of passion well lit, in day and night. In helping our chained minds finding sanctuary. From this Stamping on customs old. Branded and blamed, bland boring. SAME. . .  M.J.Burkett

Hot stuff those Spanish dancers!
The Spaniards are passionate people worse than the French. Your poem reflect that, and well, don't know much about flamenco and stuff, but I get the atmosphere. Spain is a great place to be, I love it too but only went there twice. What do you do in Spain... if you don't mind me asking...

This rather reminded me of an elderly man ((69) in my writing class who
still goes to Salsa every week. I think this is how he would like his dance class to be ....but I'm sure it's far more tame!
