The internet has added a new dimension of communication
It is wonderful to reach out to people who live far away. I guess the only sad thing is that many people can't afford a computer and live in communities where they are struggling for food, warmth and shelter.

as in real life (as opposed to online life)
there are always opportunists and people that will try and pull one over you!
But also, similar to real life - there are some wonderful people out there and the internet makes it so much easier to find them and communicate with them.
I've been online since 1994 and have found many valuable websites for academic research, news and entertainment and of course it has been a great way to keep in contact with friends around the world!
Welcome to blogit - I hope you enjoy it here as well!

Absolutely Positive, I cannot imagine life now without Google, email
and Blogit, to name a few. There are charlatans, frauds, and stalkers, chicanery and thievery, and identity theft, which is what scares me the most, but a modicum of common sense usually sorts that out.
I think that blogging is the real free press, and it's fantastic for anyone who wants to to have a voice.

online
Although I have been chosen to be used in the latest of all scams and that is laundering money from Africa to US and I finally had to change my whole persona on Yahoo IM as I was being approached several times a day by men who were madly in love with me. (SCAM). But other wise I love using the internet for many things, writing, downloading music and listening to music.
