Kathu, a lot of things sound fishy about this woman's "treatment approach"
that would raise some red flags with me that you picked up on: the inflexibilty of the fee (this is someone who's supposed to be in a helping profession, and if she's charging out of pocket, I'd think that cash should merit some discount).
And I think you're right about her snooping into your "past", wtf? Is that really the issue? I've become wary of therapists, because so many go into it to "heal themselves", by figuring out their own issues. I'm not saying I don't believe in thereapy, I do, but I'm just wary about who to trust. I think you're right to listen to your instincts, and find someone else.
I would even challenge her on the amount of her consultation, since it was the first time, if you're not going back, what's she going to do about it if you decided to pay her less? Turn you over to a collection agency, she'll get less.
(and, imho, those well-meaning bloggers who dispense advice like "don't take drugs, deal with it, are misguided, if you need medication, take it.)

You must avoid taking drugs. Find a good friend to talk to and you will
feel better.
