I remember my senior year English teacher very clearly, because
he had a mullet.

I moved around often,
and I saved many letters from friends in different states. Apparently, I had a crush on Jordan from New Kids on the Block. I can't deny the proof. How embarrassing!

I have no space to save the really old things.

My English Teacher was quite the opposite
She was an inspiration to me and I never forgot her

Whacky
Yes. Do not discount them. They are your guideposts. So many people say, "I had a feeling about that person." We let ourselves get reeled in by words and facades of behavior, that serve only to dim our intuition.

First impressions are generally correct
and can cause a bit of bias against a person. Sometimes, just sometimes, one is pleasantly surprised when the person proves your first impression wrong. Not in your case I see. I also cannot stand when a simple story or movie is dissected into so many hidden meanings that it becomes unpleasant to read or watch. I am sure many authors and directors are even unaware of these "hidden" meanings. I enjoy a book or movie for what it is!

First impressions...
are generally a good clue.  I once had a teacher, she was pretty old, (and old-fashioned) and her name was close to the nickname I gave here (in my head, that is) was Mrs. Prehistoric, which was close to what her name actually was.  I won't give her real name, although I doubt she would read my "doggerel."

Whacky, I have too many boxes like that.  I have some that have never been opened since my last move.

Whacky, I sat in on that bluegrass jam, with my comp notebook and wrote
every impression that I had before I came home to write.  I don't know that first impressons are always right, but they're something to pay attention to.  I try not to rush to judgment like I used to, (getting older, I guess), but I can't part with my journals. Come hell or high water I've hung on to them.
