BEAUTIFUL TONY, YOU MUST Love Thy Neighbour (Hope you’ll really love) this!
A clove of envy
A pinch of lies
And little bits of gossip
Simmer over a slow fire of hate
When done, pour a cup
Of false promises over the disk,
Add a tablespoon of hypocrisy
Spice with teaspoon of malice
Shake well and do not let cool
Serve it hot to your neighbour.
We derive a vicarious pleasure by causing and not by alleviating others’ troubles. Aren’t we all doing it? Just see the ring of truth in this humorous satirical piece. The day we can rise above the pettiness and truly love our neighbour the way Jesus meant, we will start becoming religious). The next person you interact or communicate with, hope these lines remind and caution you. If it does, see the change and the acceptability that you get from others. You’ll be less obnoxious to people.

Mavro
PS: It was in a park in Coventry. I used to go fell-running in lots of great locations, but not any more. When I'm training, though, I do this in Lyme Park, which is a fantastic place to run. Lots of wonderfful scenery and testing hills.

Thanks Mneme and Mavro
In the end I got there too late to take part - but had a nice day out of the office listening to music in the car and getting caught in traffic jams!

White noise
That's what you need. It works, really. I have a fan on just for the constant hum that blocks out street and traffic noise.

Running Man
Where's the run? I do a bit of that. Don't have a go Attaturk if your time is poor.
Cheers.

Cream crackered.. now there's a phrase I haven't heard in a while. I don't know how you write a sonnet every day.. I struggle to do one a week - hats off to you.

Thanks for your funny comments!
Update - the neighbour below made a lot of noise last night again, including music, but I was so tired I went to sleep anyway, with the radio on to mask the noise! I think maybe if I hadn't had two nights of sleep deprivation already, I'd have hardly got any sleep last night, but because i was cream crackered (i.e. knackered), I got more sleep, and should just about have enough energy for the race today. All's well that ends well.

Hey Tony,
I was talking about Indian women means, it's a norm for them, I wasn't saying it's wrong to hug a person. It's not their culture. Thanks for reading.

Hi Troosha and Julia.
I'm about zzz to go to bed zzz but will I zzz be able to sleep zzz when I get there? Course not!! Ah, moving to a detached cottage would be great, Julia... as long as I don't have to do any gardening. And as long as there was a Starbucks opposite. (Joke.)

after living next to psycho neighbors
I moved to a quiet cottage in the country and vowed never again to live where I have to share walls or hear other people's noises.
