Do not feel bad, I am sure alot of bloggers cannot answer

their comments individually.  I also tried in the beginning but time does not allow this.  It does take a lot of time to blog and read and comment and u name it.  At the end each one must just do what you enjoy and even if a blanket comment is left it would be efficient.  Now, ... I expect a reply on this comment pleeeaaassse! LOL

I use to answer every comment recieved....still do sometimes...

But if I am too busy...I do write 'thanks all - much appreciated' I feel so guilty when I do this, but it's hard sometimes.

I do get around to reading all those that left me comments....but not always on the same day...

I'm new to blogging and not sure of the appropriate etiquette.  Rather than thank you's I'm trying to visit the blogs of those who visit mine and respond in this way.  I must admit I don't expect thank you's from those I make comments on, not unless it there is something specific to respond to.

Sometimes
a blanket comment is what all time permits.

I usually don't answer comments unless they are direct and pertinent questions but I try to look at the other person's blog and see if I can comment.

Time is the factor.

Julia., you've written that you've taken on more work, so hopefully your

regular readers will understand that the exigencies of making a living prevent the luxury of responding as quickly or as often as in days of yore.  If I take a "leave of absence" for a day or so, I feel guilty, but I answer en masse on one post, and then try to make a point of responding to each person on their own blogs to make up for it.

To each their own.

Why would anybody be offended if you failed to acknowledge their comment?  Maybe if you consistently failed to, but once in a while, nah!  I would think they would be more pleased that you were reading them and commenting.  I see you are a busy and popular lady.

I don't have so many comments, but even with those which I have, sometimes
I am not able to answer to them. If I have to choose between reading a new post of someone I like to read, and commenting, I will always read.I have very limited time for blogging, so I try to spend it reading.

I know I can easily spend hours
responding to comments...I love getting them...I like responding to them and interacting with people, but I have just not been able to do it in the end...  All I can do is hope people forgive me and know the reasons why I don't always acknowledge them...

Julia, I think you have to do what you have to do!
Reading someone's entry and leaving a comment is very important and a comment about that person's comment to you can easily be added on that person's blog. I do this someitmes, when time is short and I want to read their comments and their blogs! Don't fret just keep writing/sharing and being you!  faholo
