This is such a great post...
and the subject my husband and I are always on. We compare our family members and our lives. They still sit in the same country with the same jobs for years and we move from one place to the next to scoop up more experiences and achieve more knowledge and develop ourselves in all areas of our lives possible. My husband has lots of ambition and today shows this once more. He is off for an interview for a hopefully "better" job and life for us. Not that we are complaining about our life at the moment but he is extremely bored in his job and he needs more challenges! Great post!

It shows in your drive and determination. Sometimes, we are given these gifts by our parents and it takes a lifetime to realize and appreciate them.

Short and to the point! My Dad was a stickler that my brother and I never accept status quo. He started drilling that in our heads at a very young age. I do believe there have been a few times where I was content for a while to live in the status quo environment, but not for very long. I am happier when I am in quad 2..Good post as usual my friend!

Yes. The fear of falling prevents the growth. I take a lesson from my boys on a daily basis. They try and try and try, despite numerous failures.

You're right. Not much makes sense when it is happening.

The thing you discover is not what you fear. Perhaps that is the lesson?

Very good post avant-garde!
Fear is difficult to deal with at times and even more difficult to understand why we allow this emotion to rule us at times. Keep writing,

i had a talk with a friend years ago on how a person who has gone through much 'shit' in his/her life can shake off what gets under most peoples skin.
this post reminds me of this. i was recently reading of the egyptians and aztecs who had schools which were made for overcoming fears by facing them.

A circle I often must work to break free of. Well said. And nice use of alliteration too.
Be well
