Julia., it is hard for rational people like us to fathom superstitions and
the overly literal-minded Scripture quoters, who seem to see evil incarnate everywhere, mostly in other people, objects and animals. God save us.

hahaha Julia.  Thats an old joke, but it's always funny.  I'm with my grandchildren now at my daughter's house.  They are all dressed up to go out.  It's raining and turning cold.  They don't care though, you know.  haha

You and your big-ass suitcase are welcome here anytime! (Kitties are welcome too, but Hawaii has this pesky quarantine law--3 months in quarantine for any pet coming into the state.)

Julia...
Yes, I was going to write dis-pear, to make sure people would get it, but then decided people are smarter than I give them credit for, I meant to go back to despair, but forgot to change the dis.  So in the end it is I who is the dumb one.

Julia, I will respond with a joke of my own...

Hope you don't mind.

This guy was throwing a halloween theme party, he wanted everyone to come dressed as an emotion. He advertised weeks in advance so that everyone would have time to prepare since it's not that easy to dress as an emotion.

On the night of the party he is anxiously awaiting his guests. Finally the doorbell rings, he opens the door and there is a woman dressed all in pink from head to toe.

     "What are you?" He asked.
"I am passion." She replied. And he let her come in.

The doorbell rang again, this time there was a man dressed all in green from head to toe.

"Hello, I'm envy." The man said, then he entered the party.

So that's how it went for the next hour or so; hate, love, greed, sorrowhappiness and sadness were all in attendance. After the party was well under way the doorbell rang again. When the host opened the door he saw a man standing there, completely naked except for the fact that his penis was sticking through a large ripe pear.

Shocked, the Host screamed "Oh my God...what are you doing? You are supposed to come dressed as an emotion!"

"I am an emotion!" The man replied. "I'm F--king Dispair!"

Julia., it's an appalling comment on humans that anyone could see a CAT as

evil.  Like I said on Rumoured's blog, projecting the shadow of their own repressed dark side is probably the biggest cause of wars and abuse to date.  The things that we cannot look at in ourselves become projected onto an animal or another person.  If only more people would look at that, and recognize it for what it is.

Self-acceptance is key (sorry, I'm getting long-winded here), but Jung's concept of the shadow made so much sense to me, just harder to recognize when I'm doingit myself.

yay, another bad joke to go with mine! haha, take that Jemmie!

As for the black cat ban, I think it's just a long standing tradition with most all humane societies, that they see no reason to let go of...as I said to Rumored, it might be overcautious but if it saves even one kitty then it's worth it.

Why you little %#@&*!! lmao. way to rub it in. Keep it up and you'll find me on your doorstep with a big-ass suitcase...lol.

After reading Rumoured Intelligence's blog yesterday, Julia., I'm amazed

that the shelters are afraid to give away black cats.  I guess I shouldn't be, human ignorance seems to know no limits.   8 F? Already, it's not even November, wow.

And, in keeping with your hollow wienies joke, "Why can't gypsies have babies? Because they have crystal balls!"  Happy Halloween!
