Schatz, I hope you get this all worked out. I've been going round and
round with a social services agency over housing, finally won a huge victory. Don't give up, and don't believe everythng you hear.

Justi (and Whacky, too) -
I am always blessed, no matter what happens, because I have my health, my loved ones are healthy, shelter, food, transportation, the opportunity for my kids and I to all go to good schools, a loving, faithful husband, the best friends in the world, and I believe I am a good person who is on the right path. I am filled to the brim with faith, hope and love. There's no room for self-pity or doubt. I'm on a mission, as they say. LOL
I blog about it, and then I sleep like a baby. All things happen for a reason. My part in the miracle of life is not to stand around yelling, "Why, WHY?!?!", but rather to live the best life I can, faithfully knowing that answers will come to me. It has been my belief since I was way too young to have even thought this way.

You go girl. I am so glad you are getting help. It is so important. People do not understand you can work your buns off and not be able to provide for the family. You be blessed and frankly it looks as if you have been today.

Jem you are hilarious. I did my homework for my Culinary Sanitation class.
It's all about the bacteria that grows on food and makes us sick. And the unsanitary conditions in kitchens that spread disease. Like people who don't wash their hands at work. So that must have been on my mind...cleaning your butt off...of your hands. UGH! Makes me never want to eat out again!!!! Yeah, this class is going to have me scrubbing all the time, I can see it now. lol

Blackcat-
I agreed with the wonder woman because of the giant boobs LOL
I guess we just do what we do. I was at work that night and the young girls I work with were complaining about being tired. It was frustrating me, but I just reminded myself that there is no measuring the degree of suffering. Just because my life is how it is doesn't mean they aren't just as tired from only working at Office Depot and having a social life as well. We all have what we have, and frankly I am grateful for what I have. I know it doesn't seem likely to most, but it really is a good life. It just has ups and downs.

Pat B-thanks for the well wishes!
It's smooth sailing here. We go with the flow. A death or illness is a tragedy. This stuff is just par for the course. I hope to be more prosperous in the future, but if this were my permanent lot in life, I'd deal with that.

Believe it or not, I feel pretty serene today. It's a burden lifted knowing that the kids will have healthy meals again and that all the bills will be paid. What would the point be in getting upset about it?

WOW! What craziness!
But really, the part that got me was when you said the following:
"So I left class on Wednesday, came home to a nice, peaceful house and cleaned my butt off."
Was your butt really that dirty? And did you really need to tell us this?
LOL

No kidding you've had an intense couple of days!
Hope everything sorts itself out and that your husband find another job quickly. Your story today was a good reminder that my life is pretty simple and I should count my blessing. Stay strong and be well....
