We have two computers in the room. They seem to start acting funny, with our(me or my son's) intrusion. So he taught me to kick one at the left at the seat of its pants, and suprisingly both start behaving. Why don't you try the secret? It is a sure shot way. Haha

Tonyzonit, I have learned that when my computer gets cantankerous I'm best off just to give up and let it have its way until it is finished throwing its tantrum. Otherwise, I get too frustrated.
