I'm so sorry about this, Ariel. I know exactly how you feel as I lost a younger sister a few years back. It was so hard to take. From the time that she went into the hospital, for almost a month, I was with her every day and watched her wither away. I wanted so badly to do something, but there was nothing I could do except give her my love and support.

I'm so sorry about the terrible news you received. With distance being a factor you must feel helpless. I hope you are able to see her or reconnect in some capacity over the next couple of months. My heart goes out to you.
