Thank you for your good wishes.
How very apposite! One of the Beethoven romances, perhaps? or maybe one of my all-time favourite pieces, Vaughan-Williams's The Lark Ascending?
No, on second thoughts, as that post is about tough love, I think the Sibelius violin concerto, with its enormous range of moods, from quietly reflective to savage rhythms ; and those jagged cadenzas,of course.
Yes, definitely Sibelius.
All the comments of my good friends in here are a great support at this sad time for our family.

Thank you for your comment and your prayers.
I don't think my lady has her sights on any stars at the moment!
It's a sad time for us both

I think I just fell in love
If Carl ever regains his sense and realizes he married a crazy woman and if Lady Ariela ever decides to run off with a movie star let me know OK?
OK, in all seriousness. This is one of the most beautiful expressions of love I have ever read.
I am so sorry about your sister. While, I know you don't believe the same as I do, I will still keep you and yours in my prayers.

Nautikos is right...
A violin should accompany any reading of these words. I really like this! Tough love, lying like logs with rough bark -- perfect image. Nice work. :)

ariel,
this is superb! And I don't know why, but as I was reading it, suddenly Itzak Perlman came to mind, Itzak Perlman playing his violin, or his 'fiddle' as he calls it...
