Sadly, it hasn't.  I have to get an MRI done today.  Hopefully they'll be able to tell what's wrong soon and work to fix it!  Thanks for asking!

Jemmie211...
Has the pain in your back lessened?  I certainly hope so.

I am scheduled for another MRI tomorrow.  After that we'll try to figure out where to go--PT or some other form of treatment.

And I'm really hoping Elvis isn't available for my wedding!  LOL

Oh, Jemmie! I am so sorry to hear about your back. I know how you feel.
Not personally, but from watching my hubby suffer. I hate it. He has chronic, severe back pain that comes and goes. He has had all the chiropractors, mri's and so on, and nothing helps him. I hope you feel much better soon. Ever thought yoga might help? Acupuncture? I have heard that works wonders, that it's all about the blocked chi energy? Be well. I'll be praying for your speedy and easy recovery. No knives in the back!!!!

Of course I'll invite certain bloggers to come if I get married in Vegas!

Heck, I'll even invite the choice few to come to my wedding should it be here in Hawaii!

I try not to take my meds at work because they make me feel "loopy."  Never have taken percocet though.  Does it make you feel weird?

True.  It certainly does get expensive!  UGH!

back pain sucks, as does any chronic pain.
makes it hard to focus on anything else. I hope it gets better. If you get married in Vegas, are you going to invite any bloggers to come? hint. hint. ;-)

i hear ya - i take a percoset at work and my back still hurts
and if i take more it makes me sick - living with pain is horrible.  i feel so lucky at times that at least it happened at age 47 - i had an easy time for alot of years - and a new found respect for people who walk with canes and limp.

Surgery and drugs can get expensive - I have some grasp of the expense due to my own need for pricey prescription drugs. Even the copays and deductibles can add up after a while.

Actually, we did that years ago.  So we know what's wrong with my back--the permanent problems anyway.  I just wish there was something we could do to get rid of the current pain--short of surgery and massive amounts of drugs.

I have three things wrong with my back--a compressed disc, a pinched nerve because of the prior problem, and two conjoined nerves.

Physical therapy helped a couple of years ago, so I may have to do that again.

Jemmie, I hate to say this...
I know these things are expensive, but I'm afraid your doctor might end up ordering enough tests to get what they call a full "diagnostic workup" to try to figure out the source of the pain. You might need to put your foot down here, though.
