Ben, I haven't looked into it but it wouldn't be surprising that
many of the things that increase your fico score put money into bankers hands. =)

You and I agree. My point in several of the comments I've made to this blog is that this whole habit pattern is so ingrained that it influences the way FICO scores are calculated (needing to keep a credit card open for two years to enhance your FICO score, for example, rather than just not having the card in the first place, and forcing the powers that be to change the way FICO scores are calculated).
