Go to Religion is a Sham

- Go to So Just What is Salvation?
you forgot th eguilt thing
because salvation arises from guilt.
religion makes us feel sinful and then religion gives us paths to feeling only partially redeemed (else religion would be out of business with a feeling of full redemption).
"salvation" has always been there. but religion decided that people sin and that sacrifice must be made to the god else strong consequences would ensue.
everybody is fine the way they are. it is comparing ourselves to others and feeling superior and expressing that superiority that makes others feel bad.
each of us must recognize our own goodness.

"Imagine no religion...It isn't hard to do" No one can convince me that
religion is not the ruin of man...

I tend to agree with your opinion on salvation, Arch!
A totally man-made creation, designed to keep us on our toes and in line!
Much like the concept of original sin. We should be good little children, while our (loving?) Father watches from above! With love in his so-called heart and punishment on his mind!
Doesn't sound like a God I can really get (or want) to know!
