Hi sweet boy... always defending my honor it seems.
I loved this, it's reminiscent of the garbage can days. You taught me so much about writing poetry without even knowing it. I hope you keep up trying to submit. I've always loved them so much because your style is like no one else. Thanks for the head's up and the kind word.

There certainly was "NO" need for a photo insert.....

Thanks TAPS for sharing the family history. I'm reading a book right now
that tells how Andrew Jackson came to these hills where I currently sit from North Carolina. Its a larger book than I usually read but I'm in the same town where he lived and is buried so I felt compelled by proximity

I love this FreeManWalking. My ancestors were from Tennessee before and during the Civil War. I have spent time searching out the places. They lived in what is now Natchez Trace State Park in a little town no longer there called, Dollar. They helped to establish a little Missionary Baptist Church there that is still going after all these years and are buried in the little cemetary in the woods across the road from the church. All except for my great-great grandpa who left TN after the war and made his way to Oklahoma Indian Territory. Sorry that I went on so. You got me started with your poem. LOL
