Julia.
Hi Julia. I think I understand what you are saying. I have a lot of 'stuff' I hold on to cuz if I were to let it go, if I should happen to want to use it, it won't be there. Some of my 'stuff', if I were to let it go, most likely no one would want it anyway and if they did want it, how would I know they would take care of it? Then what would become of it? I do let go of a lot of things, but there are times when I do feel a deep regret that I parted with it, especially when I hear it was lost or destroyed.

I would imagine most of us can relate
Life goes through so many twists and turns and with that comes the mental shift we have to make about "stuff".

I have a lot of "stuff" and am very much attached to each item. However, I also throw out "stuff".

Of course you're rambling....which is why I can totally relate!!

Really, I think a lot of people feel the same way.

Julia
Very well-written entry, here. BUT, I kinda don't agree with you here. I HATE pack-ratting, and if I'm not using it, then I could care less what happens to it. LOL

I sure can, Julia. I think we moved every time the house got dirty. haha That was when my husband was in the military and then on to a government career in the Veterans Administration. I believe I'm safe in saying we're moved 21 times since we were married 42 years ago. I told him he would carry me out of this house feet first before I would move again. Believe me, Julia, I know of what you speak!

Julia, your post could not be more germane to my day today.
I know exactly what you mean. Intentions and imprints of strangers who are not well-intentioned make me ill.

Some of my things I could not even give away!
I have almost got rid of all my possessions, because I could not take them with me when I moved, but some things even charities would not take. I feel glad to be rid of it all now, no regrets.

Julia, some things may or may not have sentimental value, but I can
understand where it feels like a part of you was stolen or taken away.
