My opinion is that no one of us can say what is proper

or even best for the nation, we can only make such choices for ourselves.  I believe that government ought to make options more open where they don't hurt society in any actual, demonstrable way.  No one would force gay couples to marry if they preferred civil union, or nothing at all on paper.  But why should they not have the choice?  How does it hurt the rest of the country, to give them a choice?

Ciel. . , though it would be convient for me to support gay marriage,
I don't.  However, that being said, I do feel the government needs to come up with some kind of domestic partnership thingy to take care of those ACTUAL gay couplings whom have chosen long-term relationships for their future.
