Hello Whacky!
Glad you got everything squared away.  Cold showers and baths are the worst!  I'd rather wait until it's fixed. Take care

Wow...
When I first moved into the home we're in now, the hot water heater was set on 'vacant', and I didn't know it. I could just never get that water hot enough. It was the pits. I can relate and am glad you can get a hot shower now!!! Nothing like losing something to make you appreciate it, eh?

I've always heard, once it starts to leak, it's all over.
Glad you got it all fixed.  It's too cold not to have hot water!

Son from Seattle said his gas water heater worked during the outage...
and it was the best shower he'd had in his entire life.

I kinda know the feeling!
My water heater exploded once when I was living in my previous apartment.  Perhaps I'll write about that in my blog sometime soon.  It was a very interesting experience.

We are lucky enough that we have a maintenance team
on the farm that can sort out any problem like that immediatly. Hot water is a must

I'm glad you have hot water again, I can't live without it (I'm extremely
spoiled.)

all told, vancouver was on an approximate two-week bottled water advisory
when we had our heavy rains a couple weeks back.  no tap water for two weeks and we're one of the preiminent (how do you spell that anyway?) cities in the world.  it was very weird.

Whacky...
Running hot water is wonderful.  I remember my mother using the teakettle to warm water to wash dishes years ago.  I'm happy for you that your hot water heater is fixed.

Glad you got that water heater fixed....winter is not the time for

Cold Showers....yikes...LOL-

When I first arrived in south Florida for hurrcane Wilma, the power was still off in West Palm Beach. There were no hotel rooms but i did find a bed and breakfast. But she used well water and the well pump needed electricity. It wouldn't work off a generator like most appliances will.

Bottom line. I had to use a bucket and gallons of cold water to bathe in for the first 10 days I was there. When yu have to inspect houses in south Florida's humidity for 12 hours a day, you really need a good HOT shower when you get home.

Glad the temperature is rising

that is to say in your water heater.  I know the feeling recently my boiler died and I had no hot water.  I paniced a bit until it was fixed.  Great you are o.k. once again.
