Whacky, surely you owe yourself a Christmas present?
But regarding the drawing board, would wooden dowels work? (sp???) Not sure what you'd do with them, but surely they would be a wee bit stronger than popsicle sticks?????

You buy what you want....because you deserve it. I know I remember your gardening tools you wrote about....remember the gloves? Best buy a new pair of them too!

I am hooked on Hobby Lobby, too!

I think the thing to do is make the top first and build down, Ha, ha. It could be suspended.

During our Christmas visits (at relative's households),
I had two different conversations with relatives whom had just went to the new "Hobby Lobby" in their city. They kept going on and on about how much they enjoyed the store. And, it made me think of you, Whacky. lol

Whacky...
I have a drawing desk on my back porch, but it is pretty shot from the weather, too bad you are so far away, it would be free. As it is, it will make a one way trip to the landfill the next time I go. The top is all warped anyway and not fit for drawing on anymore.

You can't build a good drawing board...
You need to just allow yourself the frivolity (not that it would be) of going to a real store and purchasing a real drawing board. You're worth it.
