Good post Deepananda! I thought of the great night of the
soul which St. John of the Cross speaks of. We tend to respond to the darkest as if it is evil. However, it is a time when God is closest to us. Evil is the absence of good and good is the absence of evil. Darkness of the soul is not the absence of God but the absence of our wareness of His presence! Blessings for 2007,
