Stick with writing ...
Stick with writing, whether gift or talent ... I have complete faith you could make "it" work :)

OneTimeAgain
I know what I'd like to be doing, but it's not quite attainable. At least not right now. We'll just have to see what the future brings =)

Hehe, yeah working moms are nuts. I don't know how they manage sometimes.
As for me, well I worked as a software developer for three years. I remember the joy of 10-hour days and 6-day weeks. When I developed schizophrenia I had to leave that job; I couldn't do it anymore. I'm pretty sure I couldn't do it even now after getting somewhat better.
But that's alright. I'll find something dag-nab it!

Worried about having no time off between semesters?
It may not be a problem. The ebb and flow of the work-a-day world are different from that of academia -- you don't flake off for the first few weeks and then push yourself to get a paper written and take your finals, during the last week or so at end of term. When you are on the job, unless you're a total workaholic, you get a 2-day break every five days, two days when you can sleep in, goof off, veg out (unless you're a working mom, then look out!).
